Self-hosted

Run Paiso on your own server

A security professional built Paiso, and privacy shaped its design. Self-hosting gives you the strongest form of that: your financial data never leaves hardware you control.

Your data stays with you

The database and your files live on your server. Nothing goes to Paiso.

The same app

A self-hosted Paiso runs the same code as the hosted service at app.paisoapp.com.

Works without bank connections

Enter accounts by hand and import transactions from CSV files. Automatic import needs your own Plaid account.

What you need

  • A server or virtual machine that runs Docker
  • Docker Compose, which starts the app, its PostgreSQL database, Redis and the background workers
  • A domain name and HTTPS if you want to reach Paiso from outside your network
  • An email service if you want Paiso to send sign-in and notification emails

The source release is coming

The Paiso source code is not public yet. This page will link to the repository and the installation guide when Paiso publishes them.

Until then, the hosted service at app.paisoapp.com is the way to use Paiso.
